SUMMARY OF THE BOOK: In 1907, an English aristocrat and his lover decide to escape from Britain's winter weather and find somewhere "warm and dry." Accompanied by their loyal valet, they travel to Algeria, where exotic adventures await them. Sir Hugh and Owen have admirably liberal attitudes, for privileged gentlemen of their era. They don't discriminate, or allow prejudices to interfere with their pursuit of pleasure. To the two intrepid Englishmen, an attractive man is desirable, no matter what his ethnicity or social class may be.
